Policy and Procedure

OUR WARRANTY POLICY AND PROCEDURE OBF (Out of Box Failure) Criteria and Procedure

An OBF is defined as a new handset that is faulty when first activated.
OBF handsets, are subject to a 7-day return policy from date of invoice.
OBF handsets must be returned in the original, non-damaged packaging with all original accessories, (handset, original battery, original charger; manual, and any other accessories that where included).
The IMEI number on the box must match the IMEI number on the handset and invoice.

There must be no physical abuse damage to the handset such as, screen cracks, dents, marks or liquid
damaged, as this will void the warranty.
A collection of the handset will be arranged for the device to be returned to us.
The handset will then be sent to a repair centre to be tested and assessed for liquid damage.
All devices will have a software update BEFORE being approved as an OBF.
OBF replacement handsets are solely at the discretion of the manufacturers/networks.
After the assessment has been completed and the device approved as an OBF, Budget Cellular will replace the handset with a new device within 7 working days

Warranty Repair Criteria and Procedure

Warranty repair are only applicable within the warranty period of 12 months from date of invoice.
Handsets must be returned in the original, non-damaged packaging with all original accessories, (handset,
original battery, original charger, manual and any other accessories that where included).
This is in the event that the device is unrepairable, and a swop out is required.
The IMEI number on the box must match the IMEI number on the handset and invoice.

There must be no physical abuse damage to the handset such as, screen cracks, dents, marks or liquid
damaged, as this will void the warranty.
A collection of the handset will be arranged for the device to be returned to us.
The handset will then be sent to a repair centre to be tested and assessed.
The repair centre will have the device repaired within 15 working days subject to availability on spares.
Warranty replacement handsets are solely at the discretion of the manufacturers / network
